Hello from Lake Macquarie.  Today I’m writing in the park at Belmont South where the lake is sparkling in the sun, there are many black swans feeding in the shallows and there is a slight breeze cooling down the day.  Summer Solstice blessings to you and I hope your week has also included snippets of nature and grounding.  Now, let’s look up to the Moon and into the Tarot for some guidance.

Sat 21 Dec marks the Summer Solstice, when the Sun reaches the furthest south in the sky and begins its journey into the northern part of the sky.  It also marks the longest day of the year.  21 Dec is also when the Sun moves into the sign of Capricorn ♑.

Sun 22 Dec is the Third Quarter Moon in Virgo ♍.  A Moon in Virgo may compel you to try and tidy and put things in order, and to an extent that is a useful thing.  Sometimes, however, that can be a busyness distraction.  Remember your grounding practice and affirm that you are safe and all is well and then turn your attention towards the thing that you really need to examine or deal with.  The energy of the Third Quarter Moon is that of completion, forgiveness and transformation.  Ask yourself:  Were my actions in line with my intention at New Moon?  What actions do I need to forgive to enable its release?  Where am I heading, what will I do?

14 Water (King of Cups) – Introvert – Regenerate your energy with time alone, this is an important need that you value.  Protect your energy regularly so that you can nurture your soft heart and ability to read into others and situations accurately (not to be confused with ‘reading’ others without their consent).  Learn to recognise manipulative behaviour in yourself and others so you can address feelings of inadequacy or insecurity.

Right Card:

8 Practical (Pentacles) – Commitment – Rewards are reaped when you commit to a cause, relationship, entrepreneurial idea or career path and work consistently towards your goal.  If you’re feeling close to a breakthrough, engage your positive thought process to achieving your desired outcome (it is possible that the Universe can deliver something more than you imagined by not rigidly focusing on a specific outcome).
