Shopping with Avalon by Nature – things you might need to know

TAX STUFF  Avalon by Nature is a registered business in NSW and our ABN is 813 4249 9320.
As it is a small business, we are not registered to collect GST on behalf of the Australian Taxation Office.  Therefore, you will not receive tax invoices from us.

PRICING STUFF  Prices are in Australian Dollars and are current at the time of publishing the website but are subject to change due to changes in supplier prices. Our prices are very reasonable and therefore we cannot absorb price increases, unlike the bigger retailers.

QUALITY STUFF  Avalon by Nature endeavours to trade with integrity and honesty, with humour and with passion for our products.
We really want you to find what you’re looking for and to feel confident that it is a good product.

DIGITAL PRODUCTS  We offer a small selection of digital products that you can download after confirmation of purchase.  It is your responsibility to download the product as soon as possible after completing your purchase.  We have set a maximum of one download for each product.  If you have trouble downloading your purchase, email Jo at admin at so we can fix the problem as soon as possible.

POSTAGE  We post with Australia Post, we use recycled postage materials to cut down costs.  We use a flat rate of $10 because that is an average of postage for the products we sell and it partially covers postage materials as needed.  Sometimes we undercharge you and sometimes the flat rate is more than the actual postal charge and if it is a large amount we will let you know and refund you.

PROCESSING TIMES  We aim to process your order within two business days.  Please note that selecting Express Post means that postage speed is increased, not the processing time reduced.  As we are often on the road or selling at a shopping centre popup, we may be able to process your order after the trading day. It will depend on what you’ve ordered and whether we are near the office or interstate.  If we are on a long road trip, a notice will be placed on the Shopping Cart and Checkout pages so you know before you purchase.  If a significant delay is anticipated we will email you and offer you the option to wait or to cancel the order.  Please ensure the email address you use during checkout is actually monitored by you, including your spam folder.  We are not responsible for you missing emails from us.

REFUND POLICY  Our refund policy is the standard from the NSW Dept of Fair Trading:  If you buy something, it arrives and is not suitable for the purpose for which it is described, then we will refund the cost of the item.  If there is a problem with any of the items received for your order then please contact Avalon by Nature as soon as possible.

For further clarification:

If you have received an item that is incorrect, damaged or faulty we require notification to admin at within 2 business days from the time the delivery was made.  Avalon by Nature will require evidence of the issue and may require you to return the item for assessment.

Before returning anything you must contact Avalon by Nature to organise a Return Authorisation to return an item to Avalon by Nature.  Returns will not be accepted without a Return Authorisation.  At its discretion, Avalon by Nature may provide means to return an item at no cost to you, or an alternate remedy.

Avalon by Nature is not obligated to accept a return for a change of mind.  If we do accept a change of mind return then you must pay return postage and will only be entitled to a store credit, excluding the cost of shipping, for the approved returned item.

All returns must be packed securely with cardboard or bubble wrap protecting the item, packed to prevent movement inside the package and ensuring the package is firmly enclosed.

Returned items must be received at Avalon by Nature in new and re-saleable condition (except where a damaged item has been accepted for return).

Where an item is returned without a Return Authorisation, or has not been packed securely, or is not in a new or re-saleable condition when it arrives at our office, Avalon by Nature is not obligated to provide a refund or store credit and the item may be returned to you.  We will contact you to advise of the return status.

Store credits and refunds for an approved return will only apply to the item returned and will not cover any return postage costs or your original shipping charge.  We do not refund the postage as the delivery has been made and we cannot get our money back from Australia Post.

We do not refund your purchase if you have not read the description properly.  We go to great length to ensure a detailed description and at least one photo of the product is provided.

Special orders are difficult to refund, instead, we will consult you on the price and quality at the point of purchase from the supplier.
