However, at this time of year and the social expectations that come with it, this could be useful for freeing yourself from negative emotions such as fear, anger and jealousy.

8 Pentacles – is a card representing the rewards of dedication to skill, however it can also represent workaholism and loss of personal identity. When you identify and hone your skills, you will become known for them and be paid accordingly. However, balance is a keyword – accept the best commissions, don’t try to do everything that comes your way, and therefore, allow your work to encroach on your personal life. Your work is not your identity.

Middle Card:

7 Pentacles – is a card representing success by perseverance. Take your steps today with a long goal in mind. After making sure you’re working on/towards something you actually want and value, make your plans based on the effort You are putting in, rather than awaiting the windfall or investment by some other entity. Your satisfaction will be even sweeter when you consider how you achieved your goals.

Right Card:

9 Swords – is a card representing fears and worries – and it’s advice is to consider whether you’ve paid enough in time and sacrifice for something that’s not really for you…..and to consider whether it’s time to cut your losses and turn towards that thing/person/situation you thought was out of reach and start moving towards that instead. Don’t waste any more time on what’s not working!

Three cards together:

These three cards tell you that in order to achieve your dreams, you need to define and focus on developing or honing your skills. It’s this dedication, consistent effort and perseverance that will move you towards your dreams. If you’ve been trying to make something work because you feel you have to, cut your losses and turn your focus to what you really want.
